Mission:

  • To establish a close contact amongst the various MSE promotional agencies, Chambers, Business Associations and others that have a stake in MSE promotion to achieve a meaningful success in assisting MSEs

  • To share experience and knowledge as experienced in the daily activities of the various regions and organizations which will strengthen the promotion of the sector

  • Eliminate duplication of efforts and there by create better resource utilisation in the promotion of the MSE sector

  • Help the member organisations to concentrate and specialise In giving specific services, in which they are better, so that the operators will be better served

  • To create linkage and better information exchange among the various MSE stakeholders, which facilitates the promotion of the sector 

Membership:

Consideration has been given to include relevant governmental institutions, chambers, business associations, private sector, and relevant NGOs  in the National BDS Network both from national and regional levels. Though other additional members can be included in the future if found relevant, currently about 33 network member institutions are identified and their list and addresses are already included in this webpage.

Fields of Intervention:

In the 3rd Network Meeting held on July 12, 2002 an agreement has been reached among the members to intervene through the following ways:

  • On every meeting 1 hour will be allocated to discuss on relevant practical issues that serves MSE needs.

  • There will be an information flow from national level to Regional level to be accessed by the MSE operators and Vice versa.

  • Each network member agreed to prepare 6 months action Plan and proceed in implementing accordingly.

  • Network members agreed to contribute relevant information that will be uploaded in the webpage on a continuous basis.

  • Network members will contribute to preparation of the national News letter which will for better information exchange and experience as well.

  • Each network member will assign a contact person responsible for the collection and dissemination of information.
